In case you missed it, let me re-introduce you to Ashley and Josh :)
Every wedding is so unique and different. I loved all the thought and time that was put into this one! Ashley, her sister, and mom are all very creative and talented so it was no surprise that everything was gorgeous! Their inspiration was Marie Antoinette. Lots of gold, lush romantic floral pieces, a big bridal gown, complete with lots of sparkling jewelry…it was so beautiful! Despite the rain that seemed never ending, the scenery in Galena, IL helped enhance everything too. Lucky for us the rain quit right when we needed to go outdoors!
Kristen and her team at Kio Kreations designed all the beautiful reception flowers, while the bride’s sister and Maid of Honor, Amy (who is also a floral designer), designed the amazing personal flowers and paper products! Ashley, Amy, and their mom, Nancy, made the rest of the decor. They made the centerpiece vases and table numbers. Ashley’s shoes are one of a kind. Vintage tea cups, figurines, and vases were picked up all over to display the flowers and handmade candles. Ashley’s jewelry was a mixture of her grandmother’s. The little flower girls’ belts and hair pieces were handmade. The couple had cupcakes for the guests brought in from a bakery in the Chicagoland area and they were DELICIOUS…I may have had two!
I’ve worked for Kristen as her personal photographer in the past and also know Amy is an awesome floral & graphic designer from working with her! Ashley and Nancy have two Etsy shops where they sell all of their beautiful handmade pieces: Simply Bridal and Simply Baby. If you live in the Chicago area, you can stop in and see the beauty in person at The Shoppess at 127. With all of those creative minds combined, I knew this wedding would include lots of beautiful details for me to photograph and they did not disappoint! Ashley and Josh – thank you so much for having me be such a wonderful part of your special day! Congrats on a beautiful life together :)
